Increase In Standard UK VAT Rate
1st January 2010
The standard rate of VAT was temporarily reduced to 15 per cent on 1st December 2008 and has now returned to 17.5 per cent today.
Our trade price list, as well as the RRPs on this site, have been adjusted to reflect this change.

Autumn Releases by Alpha 1

Mary Ann Rogers, the best selling published artist of 2009, has released two brand new images; Scrum and Outnumbered.
We also have three new releases from our award winning artist Sue Howells; I've Got You Babe, Blowing In The Wind, and Whirlwind Romance.
Whirlwind Romance is a giclée print produced on canvas which is Sue's first in this format.
Last Sue Howells Exhibition This Year

Announcing the last of only four nationwide Sue Howells' exhibitions for this year.
It opens at the Eduardo Alessandro Studio on Saturday 3rd October with a personal visit on the day by the best selling artist Sue Howells.

For the first time you are now able to view our extensive range of animal engravings by the famous engraver Kurt Meyer Eberhardt.
The engravings are grouped in the following animal types for easy browsing: Birds, Cats, Deer/Stags, Dogs, Foxes, Hares, Horses, and Miscellaneous.

New Artist - Leo Casement
23rd June 2009
Leo Casement grew up in Ireland and, after completing his studies, earned a living painting portraits and street scenes in Dublin.
His passion for painting, and love of travelling, has taken him to many destinations across Europe including England, France, and Spain.
After settling in Northern Ireland in the 1990s he has since built himself a considerable reputation for his horse paintings winning many prestiguous awards for his distinctive and individual style.

Alpha 1 Marketing represents a group of artists - such as Mary Ann Rogers, Paul Tavernor, and Sue Howells - that have been constantly in the top 10 sellers, best sellers in the UK or runner up in the best newcomers.
We first arrived on the Art Market in 1982, specialising in hand made etchings which at that time had almost disappeared from retail galleries as an art form.
We became established as a company that was very different to its competitors.
The range of etchings grew and we added a range of affordable original paintings by UK and European artists. This expanded our market almost overnight.
With the success of the original paintings we added a range of limited edition prints. We again took the view that our range would be different to our competitors and unique to ourselves.
It was at this time we introduced Giclée prints to the U.K., we believe we were the first company to have them.
