Alan was born in Glasgow and now lives in the Midlands.
He combines an active interest in sailing with marine painting, and has many works in private collections.
He has exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists at their annual exhibitions.
Alan has undertaken a number of commissions for yacht portraits and coastal scenes.
